Otter is a competitive swimming and water polo club, based in central London. We are one of the oldest and most well known swimming clubs in the country. The Club was formed in 1869, and we were the inaugural winners of the ASA's Cherriman Award, which recognises contributions made to Masters swimming.
Otter welcomes new members of all standards, and particularly those who are interested in competing. We train for, and compete in, club, regional, national and international Masters comptitions, and we currently boast a number of World, European and British, individual and relay, record holders. Several of our members also compete in triathlons and numerous open water events, including channel swimming. See Events page for details.
Otter train in various locations in central London, primarily at the Queen Mother Sports Centre in Victoria. We hold up to seven training sessions per week, which, if all goes to plan, are coached by at least one member of the coaching team.
We are taking new members, and invite you to browse our website to find out more about the events we compete in and the standard of current swimmers.
If you are interested in joining, please come down to a training session
on either Wednesday or Sunday evening at the Queen Mother Sports Centre,
to meet the coaches and find out more about our team and membership
fees. If you have additional questions, please contact either the Women's Captain Cat
Hasnain or the Men's Captain Ben Thomas.
